Coaching Changes — Troup

Troup has hired Chuck Griffin as their next athletic director and head coach. Griffin will replace John Eastman who resigned at the end of the 2009 year.

Eastman was the head coach for the last 5 Years compiling an overall 29-25 record but the Tigers went 2-8 last season. Eastman went 19-4 during his 1st 2 seasons and 10-21 during his last 3.

Griffin was the offensive coordinator at Georgetown for the last two seasons. Before that he has been an assistant at Borger, Temple, Midland and Hardin-Simmons University. This will be Griffins first head coaching job.

Troup will be part of District 11-2A Division I along with Crockett, Elkhart, Malakoff, Teague and Trinity. They are currently on a 3 year losing streak and 2009's 2 wins was the least since 1996.
