LSG District Ranking: #1 (District 16-2A DII Champion)
LSG Region Ranking: #1 (State Ranked #3 Schulenburg will be a tough draw in the Quarterfinals again)
LSG State Ranking: #1 (State Ranked #4 Lexington may be waiting in the Semifinals again)
Notes:
The Bobcats have one of 2A's best backfields with Hawthorne, Whetsel and Silvas. They should roll through the season until a rematch with Schulenburg in the Quarterfinals and Lexington in the Semifinals. LSG predicts a championship matchup vs. Omaha Paul Pewitt with the Bobcats winning their 2nd state championship (they also have a tie back in 1970). We have called them "the best #5 ranked team in history" as they consistently field a strong team that looks like a world-beater and then stumble in the Quarterfinals - this should end in 2011.
