Austin Lake Travis Wins District 25-4A — Griffin Gilbert Record Watch

The Cavaliers from Lake Travis finished the season undefeaed and won the district 25-4A championship with a 24-21 victory over Cedar Park. Cedar Park won this game last year to win their own district championship 35-21. They met again in the quarterfinals last year with Lake Travis winning 21-20. The Cavaliers led this game at one point 24-0.

The Cavaliers are now on a 16 game winning streak. They will play Austin McCallum next week in Bi-District play. Cedar Park will play Austin LBJ.

Both of these games are re-matches from last year. Lake Travis beat McCallum 28-20 and Cedar Park beat LBJ 70-20.

Austin Lake Travis wide receiver Griffin Gilbert caught 2 passes for 24 yards in the game. For his career, he now has 152 receptions for 2,405 yards and 29 touchdowns.
