2012 Coaching Change: PSJA Bears
Old Head Coach: Mel Rios -- Has been named as the PSJA ISD assistant athletic director. He has been the Bears head coach since 2002 leading them to a 57-52 record. He ranks #2 all-time in Bears history in coaching wins.
New Head Coach: Rich Lucero -- Was the offensive coordinator at Katy Taylor last season. Before that he was the offensive coordinator at Baytown Sterling for three years. Coach Lucero also was an assistant football coach at Wabash College from 2002 to 2004.
Team News: The Bears have only won 18 games over the last 4 seasons.
