2012 Coaching Change: Converse Judson Rockets
Old Head Coach: Jim Rackley -- Retiring after leading the Rockets over the last 11 years to a 101-37 record. His 2002 team won the class 5A Division I state championship. They were state runner ups in 2005 and 2007. Coach Rackley started his career as an assistant at Mathis. His only other UIL head coaching job was at San Antonio Southwest where he led the Dragons to a 27-24 record from 1988-1992. He finishes with an overall 128-61 UIL coaching record. Coach Rackley ranks #269 on the all-time coaching wins list/.
New Head Coach: Mark Smith -- From Kerrville Tivy where he led the Antlers to a 93-33-0 record over the last 10 years. coach Smith was the defensive coordinator at Tivy 3 years before taking over as head coach.
Team News: The Rockets have had 35 consecutive winning seasons.
