Tyler Lee Hires Coach For 2nd Consecutive Year

2012 Coaching Change: Tyler Lee Red Raiders
Old Head Coach: Randy Huffstickler -- Leaving after only one season going 1-9 with the Red Raiders. Before taking over as the head coach, he was the Defensive Coordinator for 7 years.
New Head Coach: Darrell Piske -- From 3A Fairfield where he led the Eagles to an overall 23-19 record over the last 4 seasons. His Eagle team went 10-1 last year. His only other head coaching job was at 1A Valley Mills from 2003-2007 where he went 30-25-0. His overall coaching record is now at 53-44-0. He was an offensive coordinator and assistant head coach at Bartlett when they won the 1A State Championship in 1999.
Team News: The Red Raiders are going through tough times right now going 3-17 over the last 2 seasons. They will move to District 12-5A with the latesest UIL re-alignment. The other schools in the district will be Longview, Mesquite
Mesquite Horn, North Mesquite, Rockwall and Rockwall-Heath.
