Phillips from Garrison To Replace Sine at Sonora

2012 Coaching Change: Sonora Broncos

Old Head Coach: David Sine -- Leaving for 3A Columbus. He led the Broncos to a 28-7 record over the last 3 seasons. Before coming to Sonora, he coached at 1A Flatonia for 9 years coaching them to an overall 57-39 record. His all-time record is now 85-46. This past year coach Sine led his team to an overall 12-1 record making it all the way to the quarterfinals.

New Head Coach: Craten Phillips -- From 2A Garrison where he led the Bulldogs to a 40-19-0 over the past 5 years.

Team News: They will move to District 3-2A Division II with the last UIL re-alignment. The moves takes them from Region IV to Region I. The other schools in the district will be Alpine, Reagan County, Coahoma, Crane and Stanton.
