2012 Coaching Change: Slaton Tigers
Old Head Coach: Grady Benton -- Resigned after leading the Tigers for the past 5 years to an overall 14-36 record.
New Head Coach: Chad Terry -- Was the offensive coordinator at Lubbock Coronado last year. This will be his 4th head coaching position. He was the head coach at Lockney (1999-2001) going 16-16, Sundown (2003-2009) going 60-21 and Anson (2010) going 3-7. His career coaching record is 79-44.
Team News: The Tigers have had 5 consecutive non-winning seasons. They will move to District 2-2A Division I form District 1-2A Division I with the last UIL re-alignment. The other schools in the district will be Brownfield, Denver City, Idalou, Kermit and Lamesa.
