2012 Coaching Change: Alvin Yellowjackets
Old Head Coach: Jeff Dungen -- Leaving after leading the Yellowjackets to a 10-39 record over the past 5 seasons. Before taking over as head coach he was an assistant with the Yellowjackets and then served later as offensive and defensive coordinator since 1990.
New Head Coach: Trey Herrmann -- From 5A Houston Bellaire where he led the Cardinals to a 16-16 record over the past 3 seasons. He has also coached at Katy Seven Lakes and Katy Mayde Creek.
Team News: The Yellowjackets have now had 7 consecutive losing seasons going 16-54. They will move to District 22-5A from District 24-5A with the last UIL re-alignment. The other schools in the district will be Manvel, Pasadena, Pasadena Dobie, Pasadena Memorial, Pasadena Rayburn, Pasadena South Houston and Pearland.
