Rice Moves Up to 2A With Former Frost Coach

2012 Coaching Change: Rice Bulldogs
Old Head Coach: David Currey -- Leaving after leading the Bulldogs for the past 5 years to an overall 10-40 record.
New Head Coach: Jerry Baldridge -- Has been a teacher only for the past 2 years. Before that he was the offensive coordinator at Mesquite Poteet in 2008 and 2009. He was the head coach at 1A Frost from 2003-2007 going 23-26.
Team News: The Bulldogs are on a 6 year losing streak. They will be moving up to Class 2A in District 6-2A Division IIwith the last UIL re-alignment. They were in Class 1A District 8 Division I. The other schools in the district will be Blooming Grove, Corsicana Mildred, Dallas Life Oak Cliff, Millsap, Rio Vista, Scurry-Rosser and Tolar.
