2012 Coaching Change: Garland Naaman Forest Rangers
Old Head Coach: Mark Elam -- Retiring after leading the Rangers for the past 3 years to a 11-21 record. Before coming over, he was the atheletic director at Rockwall ISD. He was also the head coach at Rockwall from 1999-2004 going 23-36. His other head coaching position was at North Mesquite from 1990-1998 going 59-36-4. He was at Brenham from 1984-1989 going 37-24-4. His all-time coaching record is 130-117-8. He was also an assistant at Dublin, San Angelo Central, Abilene and Wall
New Head Coach: Sam McElroy -- Was an assistant coach at Texas Tech University.
Team News: The Rangers have now had back to back 2-8 seasons. They will be moving to District 11-5A from 10-5A with the last UIL re-alignment. The other schools in the district will be Garland, Garland Lakeview Centenial, Garland Rowlett, Garland Sachse, North Garland and South Garland.
