2012 Coaching Change: Jacksonville Indians
Old Head Coach: Steve Wells -- Leaving after leading the Indians for the past 4 years to an overall 21-22 record. Before coaching the Indians, he was the head coach at 3A Mineola from 2006-2007 going 9-12.
New Head Coach: Chris Taber -- Was the offensive coordinator and assistant head football coach at Tyler Chapel Hill since 2009. He helped the Bulldogs be state runner up in 2010 and state champions in 2011. Coach Taber began his career here with the Indians as an assistant from 2001-2002. He then moved on to Nacogdoches and New Braunfels before going to Tyler Chapel Hill.
Team News: The Indians have gone 36-40 over the past 7 seasons. They will be moving to District 16-4A from 14-4A with the last UIL re-alignment. The other schools in the district will be Corsicana, Lindale, Nacogdoches, Tyler John Tyler and Whitehouse.
