2012 Coaching Change: Tidehaven Tigers
Old Head Coach: Jim Sides -- Leaving to be the high school principal. He led the Tigers for the past 3 years to an overall 9-21 record. He has also been a head coach at 1A Runge from 2001-2002 going 0-19 and 1A Cross Plains in 2007 going 0-10. His all-time coaching record sits at 9-50.
New Head Coach: Brent Mascheck -- From 3A Columbus where he led the Cardinals to a 35-39-0 over the past 7 years. He has also been the defensive coordinator at Richmond Foster and an assistant at Rosenberg Terry.
Team News: The Tigers have not been to the playoffs since 2008 and have not had a winning season since 1999. They will be moving to District 13-2A Division II from 15-2A Division II with the last UIL re-alignment. The other schools in the district will be Boling, Danbury, East Bernard, Hitchcock, Van Vleck and Wallis Brazos Consolidated.
