Cuero Hires Their Former Coaches Son

2012 Coaching Change: Cuero Gobblers
Old Head Coach: Rick Owens -- Reassigned after leading the Gobblers to a 12-10 record over the past 2 seasons. Before taking over as head coach, he was an assistant with the Gobblers for 5 years. He has also been an assistant at Taft, Aransas Pass and Rockport-Fulton.
New Head Coach: Travis Reeve -- Was the offensive coordinator at San Antonio Churchill. He also worked as an assistant for the Gobblers from 2004-2009. Before that he was an assistant at Victoria, Plano West and San Antonio MacArthur. Travis is the son of former Gobbler head coach Mark Reeve (2003-2009).
Team News: The Gobblers missed the playoffs for the first time since 2001 last year. They will be moving to District 26-3A from 28-3A with the last UIL re-alignment. The other schools in the district will be Giddings, Gonzales, La Grange, Smithville and Yoakum.
