2012 Coaching Change: Bloomington Bobcats
Old Head Coach: Randy Perez -- Resigned after leading the Bobcats for the past 2 years to an overall 1-19 record. He has also been a head coach at Corpus Christi Ray (2 years 10-12) and Austin Lanier (2 years 6-14). His all-time coaching record is 17-45. He has also worked as an assistant coach at Justin Northwest, Gonzales and Temple.
New Head Coach: Layne Elkins -- Was an assistant at Cuero for the past 3 seasons. He is a Bloomington grad.
Team News: The Bobcats now have had 13 consecutive losing seasons and are on a 51 game district losing streak. They will remain in District 15-2A Division II with the last UIL re-alignment. The other schools in the district will be Cotulla, Dilley, Karnes City, Natalia, Nixon-Smiley, Poth and Stockdale
