2012 Coaching Change: Hardin Hornets
Old Head Coach: Larry Haynes -- Leaving after leading the Hornets for the past 5 years to a 29-23 record. He has an all-time coaching record of 148-76-3. The Hornets went 3-7 last year giving Haynes his first losing season as a head coach.
New Head Coach: Walter Fortune -- Was an assistant at 4A Livingston. He has also been a head coach at 3A Tarkington where he led the Longhorns to a 27-50 record over 8 years there.
Team News: The Hornets have gone 20-20 over the last 4 seasons. They will be staying in District 10-2A Division I with the last UIL re-alignment. The other schools in the district will be Anahuac, Kirbyville, Kountze, Newton, Warren, East Chambers and Woodville.
