2012 LSG Texas High School Football Team Preview — Fort Davis Indians

Team: Fort Davis Indians (6-Man District 5 Division I)

1st varsity season: 1934

Enrollment: 67 -- 3rd largest in the district out of 4 schools

Coach: Jess Roberts

Coaches Notes:
The Indians will be a part of the one of the toughest districts in Six man. Just getting out of district will be a huge challenge. Anyone that does could make a run. District Outlook : Rankin/Fort Davis/Garden City/Marfa- It will be a dogfight for the two playoff spots.

Returning Lettermen: 11

Returning Starters: Offense: 5 Defense: 4

Key Players:
* Steve Enriquez- Senior- Returning 1st Team All State Spreadback- I expect another big year 2,400 yards passing, 1,200 yards rushing 52 total TD's
* Christopher Stephens- 2nd Team All Region Receiver- should be a big factor.
* Elijah Hernandez- Center- missed all of District with injury. Will be a big part of offense at 6'1 230lbs. Best receiver on the team 650 yards 16 TDs receiving
* Carlos Granado- 2nd Team All District Quarterback- Great arm and will be more of a factor on offense next year.
* Geronimo Salcido- 6'2 Receiver with soft hands. Should be a go-to guy.

Notes:

Mike Says: The Indians will rely heavily on Enriquez this season. Expect them to battle Rankin for the district title.

Chris Says: Fort Davis has a lot of experience returning so should be in contention for one of the playoff spots. If they can stay healthy, they should even win district.
