2012 LSG Texas High School Football Team Preview — Galveston Ball Tors

Team: Galveston Ball Tornadoes (24-4A)

1st varsity season: 1892

Enrollment: 1,784 -- 5th largest in the district out of 8 schools

Coach: Tony Valastro (1 Year) 0-10 record at Galveston Ball; 47-28-0 all-time coaching record

Coaches Comments: Ball high is going to have a nice team and they might even surprise a lot of people. District Outlook: The teams Ball High are going to have a hard time fighting for a playoff spot is Texas city, Pearland Dawson and maybe Friendswood.

Returning Lettermen: 17

Returning Starters: Offense: 7 Defense: 6

Key Players:
* Ario Holman he should be a good help on the defensive linebacker position 102 tackles
* Joseph Caligone is going to be good at safety 41 tackles
* Leonard Brooks he was just at La Marque now he is back at Galveston so that is really going to help them out in the backfield
* Jujuan Whittaker is going to be good at the QB position
* Derrick Decker is one of the defensive lineman he is lineman schools might have to watch out for 34 tackles
* Tolen Avery at defensive end 54 tackles
* Ricky Arellano should will play a big role in both offense and defense line
* G'Quez Lloyd OL
* Mark Laws OL
* Kendall Davion

Notes:
* 19 game losing streak (1-19) since dropping down to 4A

Mike Says: The Tors need a lot of improvement to compete in this district. This is one of the stats toughest districts with Pearland Dawson, Friendswood and Texas City leading the way. Expect them to go 2-8 or 1-9 for the season.

Chris Says: Galveston Ball is going to have another tough season, but last year ended worse that it could have because of injuries. District 24-4A is made up of some really good teams but there is an outside chance that the Tornadoes could eek into the playoffs if a) someone above them slips up and b) they manage to keep their injuries down.
