2012 LSG Texas High School Football Team Preview — Klein Bearkats

Enrollment: 3,139.5 -- 6th largest in the district out of 9 schools

Mike Says: The Bearkats have a big fight in front of them if they want to make the playoffs. Coach Hallmark who went 24-2 at Fort Bend Hightower back in 2008 & 2009 is not used to having losing records. The offense will have to keep them in games while the defense with only 2 starters coming back try to stop this high scoring district. Expect them to go 4-6 or 3-7 in the regular season. They have a shot at that last playoff spot but they would need to be around 6 or 7 wins for that.

Chris Says: There are a few districts in the state where Klein would be the dominant team, 13-5A is not one of them. This is an absolute beast of a district and the Bearkats are going to have their hands full. Shane Hallmark is going to have to turn this team around fast if they have any hope of being around come playoff time. I see where a couple of the favorites could drop out of playoff contention, but even if that happens - there are too many good teams that will be sitting home come playoff time. If they turn in a .500 season, it is a testament to the Bearkats' tenacity and Hallmark's coaching.
