Mike Says: The Eagles will feature DelaCruz and Stephens on offense while 7 starters return on what is always a tough defense. They will face a very tough pre-district schedule that includes Mason, Eastland and Mart. This will have them ready for the postseason. The Eagles should win the district title. After that they will battle Lindsay for the Region II title.

Chris Says: What can you say about Goldthwaite? Well, you can say they are one of the top programs - PERIOD! You can say they "just win, Baby!" You can say bring back a lot of starting talent! You can say they add some personnel from last years 11-0 JV squad! You can say that Gary Proffitt is a living legend in Texas high school football! Whatever you choose to say... it is going to be positive. Sure, the Eagles have a tough district and sure, they have a tough pre-district schedule. But you know what? They will once again be ready come playoff time and once again will slice through opponents like a hot knife through butter. Too much? Okay, maybe I get a little excited when talking about Goldthwaite football, but I can't help it - they are fun to watch!
