  • Mike Says: The Antlers welcome new coach Jones. He should fit right in and continue the Antlers success. They have made the Quarterfinals 3 of the last 4 seasons. The defense is starting over this year but will be one of the favorites in Region IV Division II. Quarterback McNeil will be a good one after producing over 4,200 yards of offense last year. Last year they won all of their games by an average of 14 points per game. Look for them to continue their success and finish the regular season with a 8-2 or 7-3 season. Their pre-district games against San Antonio Madison and Cibolo Steele will be fun games to watch. They will go Division II in the playoffs and a rematch with Corpus Christi Calallen (Calallen won 45-15 last year) looks to be a good bet again in the Quarterfinals.
  • Chris Says: Kerrville Tivy has absolutely shone in the last ten years and this year will be another good one.  Coach David Jones inherits a quality team in a good program.  He inherits a solid quarterback in Parks McNeil who will light up the field again this year behind a solid offensive line of Hernandez, Wilmot and Miears.  Payeton Becker will anchor the defense and once they lock down the District 27-4A title, expect the Antlers to have another long playoff run to the Quarters or Semis.
