Enrollment: 414 -- 2nd largest in the district out of 7 schools

Mike Says: The Tigers Will need all the experience that their 16 returning starters have to turn things around. The good news is that they are dropping down to Class 2A. They have only made the playoffs 3 times in the last 12 years. Look for them to improve and go 4-6 or 3-7 in the season. They have a shot at that last playoff spot but will need 4 of those wins to be district games.

Chris Says: Goliad drops down to Class 2A at a good time as they have been struggling at Class 3A. Coach John Mares takes over a program that has not seen a lot of success in the last decade, but that combined with the large returning class, should mean some improvement. Don't expect a playoff team this first year, but by 2013 they could end up in the thick of things.
