- Mike Says: The Bulldogs play a very tough non-district schedule with games against the defending 3A DI champion Tyler Chapel Hill, a very tough Lindale team and 2 4A Schools. This year they will be looking for their 4th title in 5 years. The offense will be led by two juniors in quarterback Bogenschultz and running back Pipkin. The defense will be very stout with top transfer Golden and linebacker Jackson. The 4 teams that beat them last year went 52-5. Look for them to go 9-1 or 8-2 in the regular season because of their tough schedule. Once in the playoffs they could go all the way. They will be a Division I team and I would love to see them go up against Stephenville in the championship game.
- Chris Says: Carthage is not afraid to mix it up in pre-district play and for that reason, are usually ready to go come playoff time. The Bulldogs should have no problem winning the District 20-3A crown and after that, it is another sloberknocker of a path to the state title game. Look for more fun in Carthage all the way through to December.
