  • Mike Says: The Tigers made a surprising run last year to the Regionals with former Texas State head coach Brad Wright leading the way. He has now left and former Texas City coach Finn has stepped in. He only has 9 returning lettermen to work with but the offense will be led by QB Grissom and the defense by LB Frazier. Expect the Tigers to go 3-7 or 4-6 in this rebuilding year.
  • Chris Says: A lot of people are predicting the eminent demise of the Wharton football program because they have a lot going against them this year.  Sure, they don't bring a lot of experience back on either side of the ball.  Sure, the Tigers have a brand new coach.  But you know what?  One of the guys they bring back is quarterback, Bartee Grissom who is an offense under himself.  Also, new Head Coach, Tim Finn is no beginner - he has won 68 games as a head coach already.  I think the Tigers will be fine.  Even though they won't have one of the best records, they will get into the playoffs and then should go a couple rounds.
