- Mike Says: The Cardinals are the pride of the Rio Grande Valley. They have had a lot of success lately and they will continue that this year. Even though they only have 5 total starters coming back they will be strong at the linebacker position with Prado heading up that group. They should win this district easily again. Their closest district game last year was a 28 point victory over Edinburg. Look for them to go 9-1 or 8-2 in the regular season and win the district championship. They will be a Division I team in the playoffs and could go to the Regionals.
- Chris Says: Harlingen is one of those teams that I have really enjoyed watching the past few years. This team plays with a lot of emotion and sheer determination. The Cardinals should roll through district again this year and be sitting strong come playoff time. Harlingen should be able to stay alive in the plays through at least three rounds.
