2013 Coaching Change: Conroe Tigers
Old Head Coach: Roger Holtkamp -- Moving to an administrative role position after leading the Tigers to a 42-61 record over the past 10 seasons. His other head coaching position was at Conroe Oak Ridge. He is a graduate of Conroe High.
New Head Coach: Robert Walker -- From San Antonio East Central where he led the Hornets to a 42-37 record over 7 seasons with 6 playoff appearances. His teams won 3 playoff games. They had won only 4 playoff games in the schools 56 years before his arrival. He has also been a head coach at Sabine Pass, Overton, Anahuac and Killeen Ellison. He has a career record of 127-69 and ranks him in the Top 300 in all-time coaching wins.
Team News: The Tigers have gone 6-25 over the last three seasons. They have not won a playoff game since 1999.
