2013 Coaching Change: West Trojans
Old Head Coach: Sam Gillispie -- Leaving to be an associate athletic director and co-defensive coordinator at Shallowater. He led the Trojans to a 1-19 record over the past 2 seasons. Before coming over to West, he was the head coach at Moody where he led the Bearcats over 4 years to a 10-31-0 record. He has also been an assistant at Burleson and Forney.
New Head Coach: David Woodard -- Was defensive coordinator and assistant for the Trojans for the past 6 seasons. His only other head coaching position was at Meridian. He is a 1990 graduate of West.
Team News: The Trojans have had only one 8+ win season (8-3 in 2006) over the past 20 years.
