2013 Coaching Change: San Antonio East Central Hornets
Old Head Coach: Robert Walker -- Left for 5A Conroe. He led the Hornets to a 42-37 record over 7 seasons with 6 playoff appearances. His teams won 3 playoff games. They had won only 4 playoff games in the schools 56 years before his arrival. He has also been a head coach at Sabine Pass, Overton, Anahuac and Killeen Ellison. He has a career record of 127-69 that ranks him in the Top 300 in all-time coaching wins.
New Head Coach: Clint Hartman -- From 5A Clear Springs where he has led the Chargers to a 40-18 record over the past 5 seasons. He was the first head coach at Clear Springs which began varsity play in 2008. His 2009 team made it to the state quarterfinals and they were district champions in 3 of the past 4 seasons. He has also been an assistant at Odessa and El Paso Tornillo and was the defensive coordinator at Seguin from 2003-2006. Coach Hartman is a 1993 graduate of San Antonio East Central.
Team News: The most wins in a season over the past 15 years has been 8 wins (8-4 in 2012, 8-4 in 2011 & 8-3 in 2001).
