Lampasas Hires New Coach For 2nd Year In a Row

2013 Coaching Change: Lampasas Badgers
Old Head Coach: Jimmy Randolph -- Resigning after leading the Badgers for 1 season to a 1-9 record. Before taking over as head coach, he was the Badgers defensive coordinator and assistant for the past 5 seasons. He was also a head coach at Cross Plains from 2001-2002 going 9-12.
New Head Coach: Brian Emerson -- From 4A Medina Valley where he lead the Panthers over the past 11 years to a 65-53 record. His only other head coaching position was at 2A Blanco from 1990-2001 where he led the Panthers to a 87-49 record over 12 seasons. His all-time coaching record is 152-102 which puts him in the TOP 225 in all-time for coaching wins. His 2001 Blanco team won the Class 2A Division I state championship.
Team News: The Badgers went from 5 wins in 2010 to 10 wins in 2011 to 1 win in 2012.
