2013 Coaching Change: Carrollton Turner Lions
Old Head Coach: Tyrone Larkins -- Resigned to take an administrative position with the district. He led the Lions for the past 5 seasons to a 3-47 record. This was his first head coaching postion. He also worked as an assistant in Louisiana, The Colony, Dallas Adams and Farmers Branch middle school. He played college football at Southern Arkansas.
New Head Coach: Mike Ramirez — From 5A Brownsville Lopez where he led the Lobos to a 7-13 record over the past 2 seasons. Before that he was the defensive coordinator for the Lobos the 2 years. His only other head coaching job was at 2A Kenedy in 2008 where he took the Lions to an 0-9 season. He was also an assistant at Harlingen South.
Team News: The Lions have had 9 consecutive non-winning seasons and are on a 17 game losing streak.
