2013 Coaching Change: Joshua Owls

Old Head Coach: Jerry Bird -- Resigned after leading the Owls for the past 4 years to a 5-35 record. This was his first head coaching postion. He had worked as an assistant at Duncanville and Austin Lake Travis.

New Head Coach: Mike Burt -- From 4A Dumas where he led the Demons for the past 6 years to a 31-32 record. His only other head coaching position had been at Flower Mound Marcus. He has also been an assistant at Bridgeport and Dallas Skyline. He played college ball at Rice from 1981-1984.

Team News: The Owls have now had 16 consecutive losing seasons.
