2013 Coaching Change: Northside Jay Mustangs

Old Head Coach: Bobby Jack Goforth -- Leaving for 3A Caldwell. He led the Mustangs to a 23-37 record over the past 6 seasons. He has also coached as an an assistant at Mexia and Katy. He played college football at Baylor from 1986-1989. Coach Goforth returns to his alma mater where he played football in Caldwell from 1982-1984 for his dad Bobby Goforth.

New Head Coach: Gary Gutierrez -- From 3A Levelland where he led the Lobos for the past 4 years to a 8-32 record. His only other head coaching position was at 4A Houston Sharpstown (2006-2008 18-14). He was also an offensive coordinator at Seguin.

Team News: The Mustangs are on a 4 year losing streak going 14-26.
