- Mike Says: The Panthers made it to the semifinals for the first time in school history last year. This years team should be a high scoring one with QB Galindo back throwing to Phillips. If a new offensive line can come together then this could be another dangerous team in the playoffs. Look for them to fight Brandeis and Warren for the district championship and finish with a 8-2 or 7-3 regular season record. After that they should go 2 or 3 rounds into the playoffs.
- Chris Says: I still can't get used to calling them "Northside" O'Connor, but hey... that's my issue. O'Connor was a solid squad last year and while they graduate a bunch of starters, they do return 31 lettermen. Coach Malesky has a good thing going with the Panthers and it should continue this year. Expect the road to be rougher will the loss of RB, Tre Johnson but QB, Zach Galindo should lead the way IF his offensive line develops quickly. Expect the team to come in second in District 27-5A and survive to the 3rd round of the playoffs.
