- Mike Says: The Oilers where knocked out in surprise fashion last year in Bi-District play. I am sure that is on their minds this year. They bring back 7 all-district players including the District Defensive MVP LB Justin Phillips. Look for them to battle Manvel for the district title and finish the season 8-2 or 9-1. Once in the playoffs, they should go two or three rounds.
- Chris Says: Coach Tony Heath always manages to restock the Oilers squads and put a district contender on the field. This year will be no different. For a Pearland team to advance past the first or second round usually follows them having a strong running game. That is the question this year... will Hayden Cole and Jacolbie Butler be that 1 - 2 punch? Expect this Oiler team to be in the District 22-5A battle with Manvel and put on a much stronger playoff run than last season.
