* LSG Pre-Season Ranking
- Mike Says: The Lions made a surprise run to the Regionals last year with first year head coach Herbst. This years team will lack experience with only 7 starters coming back. Look for them to compete for the district championship and finish the regular season at 7-3 or 8-2. They will then go 1 or 2 rounds in the playoffs.
- Chris Says: Last season saw Waco turn in a strong performance during the season as well as postseason. They lost a lot of experience but QB, Traynham Moore and others will add some needed continuity from last season. This is a pretty top-heavy district so one or two key wins will take the Lions from 3rd to 1st in District 8-4A. Either way, they will be a playoff team and should last another two or three rounds.
