Notes:
* Have gone 23-12 over the last 3 seasons

  • Mike Says: The Deer bring back 13 starters from last years Area playoff team and will have good experience. They will need every bit of it in the district they play in. North Shore, La Porte and Port Arthur will all be tough match-ups. Look for them to go 6-4 or 7-3 in the regular season and then 1 or 2 rounds in the playoffs.
  • Chris Says: District 21-5A is a tough spot for any team to compete but when you only bring back half of your starters from a squad that played .500 ball, it is downright brutal.  Deer Park will get knocked around by some of the powerhouses in the district and will notch some wins against the cellar dwellers.  That will put the Deer right back at .500 and fighting for a playoff spot.
