- Mike Says: The Cardinals did not have much trouble adjusting to Class 3A last year. This years team brings back lots of experience and an exciting runner in Marcus Ellis. Look for them to win 8 or 9 games in the regular season and win the district title and then 2 or 3 rounds in the playoffs. They will know just how good they are after they play Celina for their opening game.
- Chris Says: Melissa is set for another excellent year in District 12-3A. With half their team returning from a squad that went undefeated in district, there is no reason to expect them to lose one this time. That isn't to say they won't lose a game, they have a tough opener once again with Celina and come playoff time, "its on like Donkey Kong." Chances are that Argyle will once again be Melissa's downfall. Overall, a good season though.
