- Mike Says: The Mustangs had their best season since 2000 last year making it to the Quarterfinals for the 2nd year in a row. They lost a lot to graduation but will still be very good. They will get some competition from Silsbee in district play. Look for them to win 8 or 9 games in the regular season and come in 2nd in district behind Silsbee and make it to the Regionals.
- Chris Says: West Orange-Stark is one of the class teams of the Golden Triangle and even though they graduated a bunch off their 13-1 team, they always put a great team on the field. The Mustangs may not roll through the district like they did in 2012, but they are odds on favorite to win it. I expect them to be in the battle for the Region III crown with La Marque. Regardless of who comes out, THAT will be a great matchup!
