Mike Says: The Brahmas won their 2nd state championship last year behind superstar Ty Slanina. This years team will miss him but they do bring back lots of depth at the skill positions and tons of experience. Look for them to make another run to the Quarterfinals where Refugio will be waiting for a re-match.

Chris Says: East Bernard has half their team returning, but what they lost was a lot. I saw them dismantle Refugio in the playoffs last year and Ty Slanina (who graduated) was a man among boys. The Brahmas do return a lot of experience, so will still be around come playoff time. The loss of Trevor Long to a scrimmage injury will really hurt East Bernard, but hopefully he will bounce back sooner than expected. Regardless, the rematch between them and Refugio will be a must-have ticket.
