Offensive Line (17)
Madison Akamnonu, Arlington Bowie, 6’5, 275
Akamnonu holds a laundry list of major FBS offers, including Baylor, Missouri, Nebraska, Oklahoma, TCU, and Texas. Akamnonu was a Second Team 3-5A All-District selection as a junior.
Conner Dyer, Mesquite Horn, 6’4, 275
Dyer enters his senior season with nearly 25 FBS offers. The impressive offensive tackle was an All-District performer in 12-5A as a junior and is strongly considering Baylor, LSU, Ohio State, Tennessee, and Texas A&M.
Trevor Elbert, Rockwall-Heath, 6’5, 290
Elbert snagged a First Team 12-5A All-District selection as a junior. Elbert is verbally committed to Texas A&M, choosing the Aggies over Alabama, Auburn, Ohio State, and Texas.
Bobby Evans, Allen, 6’4, 270
Evans helped Allen to the 2013 Texas 5A-Division I state title as a junior and added a Second Team 10-5A All-District selection. Evans verbally committed to Oklahoma before his successful junior campaign.
Aaron Garza, Sherman, 6’3, 320
Garza earned Second Team 13-4A All-District honors as a junior. According to media reports, the former Texas commit is heavily considering Auburn over Baylor, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and USC.
Dominique Hearne, Lancaster, 6’3, 290
As a junior, the Lancaster offensive guard prospect earned Second Team 15-4A All-District honors. Hearne verbally committed to attend Oklahoma in June, selecting the Sooners over Houston, Oklahoma State, TCU, and Texas Tech.
Tyler Higby, Houston Kinkaid, 6’4, 285
Higby’s explosiveness on tape is difficult to ignore. As a junior, Higby earned Southwest Preparatory Conference All-State honors and is thought to be considering LSU, Miami (FL), Oklahoma State, and TCU.
Joshua Jones, Fort Bend Bush, 6’6, 275
One of the taller elite-level offensive line prospects in the Lone Star State, Jones is a prospect with tremendous upside. The First Team 23-5A All-District selection is believed to be considering Houston, Oklahoma State, TCU, and Texas Tech.
Connor Lanfear, Buda Hays, 6’6, 295
Lanfear is easily one of the top prospects in the Austin area. Lanfear earned Texas Sports Writers Association (TSWA) First Team All-State honors as a junior. The massive offensive tackle is verbally committed to Texas A&M.
Ronnie Major, Huntsville, 6’6, 290
A one-time commitment to Baylor, the Huntsville product has all the tools to be outstanding at the next level. Major is verbally committed to Texas, which was one of the first pledges for the new regime in Austin.
Tyler Moore, Galena Park North Shore, 6’4, 315
Moore will be one of the top prospects in a loaded District 21-6A this season. A First Team 21-5A All-District choice as a junior, Moore is down from the 345 pounds he played at in 2013. Moore is considering Illinois, Minnesota, and Texas.
Zach Rogers, Carrollton Hebron, 6’2, 300
Rogers is part of a talented Hebron squad who will do all it can to push two-time defending state champion Allen in District 6-6A. Rogers missed the entire 2013 season due to an injury and has verbally committed to Arkansas.
Hanner Shipley, Marble Falls Faith Academy, 6’5, 260
A converted tight end, Shipley is one of the top TAPPS prospects in the state. Shipley jumped on an offer from LSU in January over another from UCLA. There is a lot to like about Shipley due to his high ceiling.
Keaton Sutherland, Flower Mound Marcus, 6’5, 280
Sutherland is part of an impressive offensive line class at Texas A&M, having committed to the Aggies over Arkansas, Baylor, Miami (FL), Michigan, and Texas among others. Sutherland will be battle-tested when he arrives in College Station coming out of a talented District 6-6A.
Maea Teuhema, Keller, 6’5, 345
Teuhema is considered one of the top prospects in the United States regardless of position. Teuhema will follow in the footsteps of older brother and Class of 2014 defensive end Sione Teuhema to LSU. Both prospects were one-time Texas commits. Teuhema is extremely impressive.
Patrick Vahe, Euless Trinity, 6’3, 280
A participant in the Nike All-Star camp titled “The Opening,” Vahe paved the way to a Second Team 5A TSWA All-State honor along with his First Team 6-5A All-District nod. Vahe is verbally committed to Texas.
