When you are talking about football in Dallas, "the man in the funny hat" brings up Tom Landry, but there is another one that may be even more famous in Texas high school football circles. Dallas Highland Park Head Coach Randy Allen reached a milestone Friday night by getting his 350th all-time coaching win.
The Dallas Highland Park Scots who are currently ranked #9 in the state got the win over district rival #53 Lucas Lovejoy 27-20. This was one of our featured games on the Week Four Extra Points in which Chris, Mike and the Fans (78%) all agreed the Scots should win the game.
The Scots are now 3-1 on the season giving their Head Coach Randy Allen 350 all-time wins. He started the season with a 347-84-6 all-time coaching record. Coach Allen is #4 all-time in coaching wins and #2 in active coaches behind Corpus Christi Calallen Head Coach Phil Danaher who is going for a milestone of his own this year (most all-time wins by a coach).
