History was made at 1:12 pm September 3, 2011 in the Alamodome when quarterback Eric Soza ran into the end zone. Soza was the quarterback at Beeville Jones High School. He has found a home as the signal caller for UTSA and made history along the way.

This is a news piece that Matthew Roberts did at KTAB/KRBC to preview the Brownwood Lions’ high school football team earlier this month.
Lone Star Gridiron chose the Brownwood Lions earlier this offseason as one of the Texas high school football team previews for 2011.

Thanks for video…..Shane will be going to Manvel this season after his first two seasons being at Fort Bend Baptist.
The Mavericks from Manvel will need his services for sure this season. They just graduated two quarterbacks that will be playing college ball this year in Travaughn Colwell and Dexter Foreman.
Manvel had a breakout season last year going 11-3 and making it to the playoffs for the first time. They made it all the way to the Quarterfinals before losing to 4A Division II Runner-Up La Marque 44-28. 24-4A will be one of the states toughest districts again this year and Manvel will need players like McCarley.
