Texas Teams Take On The Nation

Texas will compete against the nation in a 7 game series at Texas Stadium August 30th and September 1st. The games are part of a national series set up by Intersport, a marketing company which bought the rights and is expanding the Herbstreit Ohio vs. USA Challenge.

The highlight will be when Euless Trinity, the defending Class 5A Division I state champion with two state titles in the last three years plays nationally known John Curtis of Louisiana. John Curtis won its 22nd state title last December. In addition to the Trinity meeting with John Curtis, Cedar Hill is playing Cincinnati (OH) La Salle and Colleyville Heritage is playing Clovis East (CA).   The Heritage game will be a great duel between Heritage's fast-paced, no-huddle, spread offense vs. Clovis East's Double Wing T-formation that has been dominating in Northern California.
