Highland Park wins record 700th game

Dallas Highland Park was sitting on 699 wins when the season came to an end last year, just one ahead of Amarillo High's 698. Friday night, Amarillo took out Randall 35-13, leaving the battle for 700 all knotted up at 699 each. Saturday, the Scots weren't taking any chances in their opening game as they knocked off Red Oak 45-26 and became the first team in Texas high school history to win 700 games. The battle for the winningest program in the state will still go week to week as both are expecting to have strong showing, but the race to 700 is now officially over and the Dallas Highland Park Scots will be forever etched in the record books.
