Klein Oak Takes Over Top Spot in District 13-5A

The #33 Klein Oak Panthers defeated the 10th ranked Spring Westfield Mustangs 35-13 on Thursday night at Klein Memorial Stadium and took over the top spot in 13-5A.  Klein Oak (7-1) is now 5-1 in district play, while Westfield (5-2) falls to 4-2 in 13-5A.

The Panther defense scored two 1st quarter TD's.   The Panthers scored with 2:47 left when defensive back Black Washington picked off a Jacoby Walker pass and took it 80 yards for a touchdown. Two minutes later, defensive back Michael Anderson recovered a Westfield fumble and took it 5 yards for the score.  Westfield quarterback Jacoby Walker completed 23 of 37 passes for 243 yards and two touchdowns in the game.

#40 Klein Forest still only has one district loss but Klein Oak defeated the Eagles 34-6 on Sept. 26. Klein Oak has one game remaining against DeKaney (0-4), while Klein Forest still has Tomball (2-3) and Klein Collins (3-2).
