Nikita Whitlock, the Class 5A Defensive Player of the Year from Wylie has accepted an offer to play at Wake Forest next season. Wake Forest increased their interest last week after losing a defensive commit.
Whitlock has not been getting the interest you would think after leading the Wylie defense on their way to the 5A Division II state final. Most schools were concerned over his size. Wake Forest will try the 5'11" 240 pound noseguard out at linebacker.
Nikita finished the seasaon with 165 tackles, 15 sacks, 25 tackles for loss.
