John Cooper to speak to TD Club of Houston

Former Ohio State football coach John Cooper will speak at noon, Wed., Jan. 14, at the JW Marriott to the Touchdown Club of Houston. Cooper will be the featured speaker at the 4th annual Sterling Bank High School Sportsmanship Luncheon, presented by the FCA.

Finalists for the Sportsmanship Award are Atascocita, Bush, Cy-Fair, Dulles, Elsik, Lamar, Humble, Katy Taylor, Madison, Memorial, Northbrook, Pearland, Sam Rayburn and Waltrip high schools.

Previous winners are Klein (2005), Scarborough (2006) and Deer Park (2007). This year's luncheon will be in conjunction with the East-West Shrine Game, which will be played at Robertson Stadium. Guest speaker is former Ohio State head coach John Cooper, who was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in December. The TD Club is the Houston chapter of the National Football Foundation, which runs the College Football Hall of Fame.
