Shawn Bell Will Take Over As Head Coach At Clifton

Shawn Bell will be the new head football coach and athletic director at Clifton. He was China Springs offensive coordinator last season and the Cougars went 13-1 and reached the Class 3A Division I Region I final.
The Clifton football team went 3-7 last season and 10-20 in the last 3 seasons.
Bell finished up his college playing career at Baylor where he passed for 5,666 career yards passing yards and a school-record 38 touchdowns.
Bell played his high school ball for his father (Mark Bell) at China Spring. He passed for a Central Texas record 8,437 yards and 69 touchdowns. He was the Super Centex co-Offensive Player of the Year as a senior in 2001 when he threw for 3,308 yards and 33 touchdowns.
Shawn went to elementary school at Clifton when his father was the head football coach there from 1992-1994.
