Bloomington's new Head Coach, Paul Baird hopes to stop the Bobcats losing ways. Baird became Bloomington's sixth head coach in seven years last Monday night. He was chosen from 71 applicants to take over the head coaching position.
Baird has been the offensive coordinator at Saginaw High School for the past four seasons and was previously the offensive coordinator at Granbury for three seasons. He also coached at Junction and Grape Creek. The Grape Creek position was his first coaching job where current Industrial coach Doug Kuhlmann was the head coach.
The Bobcats were 1-8 last year and 0-5 in 30-2A. They have lost 32 consecutive district games and have not had winning season since 1998 or made the playoff since 1999.
