#118 Gruver (1-4) (0-0) 53-182
#98 Booker (1-4) (0-0) 94-242
Key Game
#6 Stratford vs. #15 Sunray: This district looks to be once again a 3 team race. Both Stratford and Canadian are looking to defend thier State Championship Titles.
30-2A
#1 Refugio (5-0) (0-0) 144-50
#66 Taft (4-1) (0-0) 207-62
#57 Banquete (4-1) (0-0) 162-48
#63 Skidmore-Tynan (3-2) (0-0) 105-68
#93 Odem (2-3) (0-0) 94-95
#162 Bloomington (1-4) (0-0) 54-222
Key Game
#1 Refugio vs. #57 Banquete: Refugion should have no problem once again winning district 30-2A. The real fun will be watching Taft, Banquete, Skidmore-Tynan and Odeam fight it out for those other 2 playoff spots.
9-3A
#4 Prosper (5-0) (0-0) 168-22
#6 Argyle (5-0) (0-0) 178-67
#122 Gainesville (4-1) (0-0) 131-92
#15 Celina (3-2) (0-0) 144-95
#79 Sanger (3-2) (0-0) 90-86
#102 Whitesboro (2-3) (0-0) 62-113
Key Game
#4 Prosper vs. #6 Argyle: This is another district where it will be a 3-way fight for the district championship. This is also another district that had 2 teams in the State Championships last year. Prosper won and Celina was the Runner-Up.
25-3A
#3 Giddings (5-0) (0-0) 182-50
#8 Sealy (5-0) (0-0) 236-90
#31 La Grange (5-0) (0-0) 187-53
#11 Bellville (4-1) (0-0) 140-96
#45 Smithville (4-1) (0-0) 184-106
#77 Columbus (4-1) (0-0) 147-98
Key Games
#3 Giddings vs. #8 Sealy and #11 Bellville vs. #31 La Grange: WOW....All 6 teams have winning records...not only that all 6 are a combined 27-3 so far this year. As much as I hate the 3 teams per district making the playoffs, there will be 3 good teams here that will not make it. Maybe the UIL should have a Top 64 teams make the playoffs and maybe a play in game like in March Madness!! Pick any game in this district for the rest of the year and it will be a good one.
10-4A
#13 Highland Park (4-1) (2-0) 207-109
#4 Richardson Pearce (4-1) (2-0) 258-152
#11 Rockwall-Heath (4-1) (2-0) 160-106
#32 Carrollton Newman Smith (3-2) (1-1) 187-120
#57 Rockwall (3-2) (1-1) 152-168
#132 Greenville (3-2) (0-2) 149-151
#165 Royse City (0-5) (0-2) 84-205
#233 Carrollton Turner (0-5) (0-2) 56-219
Key Games
#4 Richardson Pearce vs. #13 Dallas Highland Park and #11 Rockwall-Heath vs. #32 Carrollton Newman Smith: The Pearce and Highland Park game should keep the scoreboard operator busy. I going to go with Pearce winning 45-42!! This week will decide the front runners as the top 4 teams all play each other
6-5A
#39 Coppell (5-0) (0-0) 228-51
#7 Southlake Carroll (4-1) (0-0) 221-96
#110 Flower Mound (4-1) (0-0) 177-145
#53 Flower Mound Marcus (3-1) (0-0) 138-94
#55 Lewisville Hebron (3-2) (0-0) 181-155
#195 Lewisville (2-3) (0-0) 132-197
Key Game
#7 Southlake Carroll vs. #39 Coppell: Carroll's 2008 double OT losss to Coppell was their first district loss since 2001 and their district win streak was finally halted at 38 games. Carroll had never lost a district game since moving up to class 5A. They will be looking for revenge this year...should be a good one. I think Carroll will win 32-27.
26-5A
#24 Smithson Valley (4-2) (3-1) 127-89
#23 San Antonio Reagan (4-2) (3-1) 144-94
#14 San Antonio Madison (3-1) (2-1) 133-56
#27 San Antonio Roosevelt (4-1) (2-1) 164-101
#61 New Braunfels (4-2) (2-2) 205-75
#109 San Antonio Johnson (3-3) (2-2) 156-140
#163 San Antonio MacArthur (3-2) (1-2) 86-81
#199 San Antonio Churchill (2-4) (1-3) 91-117
#224 San Antonio Lee (1-4) (0-3) 96-190
Key Game
#14 San Antonio Madison vs. #24 Smithson Valley : Reagan got the big win over Roosevelt last week to make it four teams now with 1 loss. Smithson Valley has a win over Reagan so with a win this week, they could be the front runner having wins over 2 of the other big 3. Once again, this is one of the best districts in Texas.
